Hitachi 50V500 LCD rear projection TV. How do I get the best picture?

I love my tv, but unfortunately, the colors are not correct. The blues is not very good .. more like a green and purple are very much alive .. more like a faded purple .. almost brown, it is the cable, use the In? i have reset the colors, but always make fun all the help?
